Air Purifiers

Air purifiers are a great way to clean the air. In addition to investing in your health, they can help with allergies, unpleasant smells, snoring and more. Here are seven signs it might be time to invest in an air purifier…

1. You Can't Stop Sneezing

Pet dander, pollen, and dust are just some of the pollutants that could be floating around your house. The best air purifier typically contains HEPA filters that will rid the air you breathe of these airborne allergens.

2. Your Home Smells Of Varnish And Disinfectants

Be sure to look for air purifiers that can remove VOCs, or volatile organic compounds. These harmful substances come from carpeting, adhesive, disinfectants, and varnishes. If you see formaldehyde or benzene on any of your household items’ ingredients, you are dealing with a VOC.

3. Your Air Is Stale And Stuffy

If you breathe in and the air smells bad, you might have poor quality indoor air. You can try an energy recovery ventilator, but an air purifier will guarantee that you reduce any smelly, foul odours that might be wafting through your home

4. Dust Mites Everywhere

Have you noticed a surplus of dust building up under your bed or on the windows? Air purifiers will certainly help to reduce the amount of dust around, though you will still need to clean. Getting a decent vacuum cleaner is still important to having clean and dust-free air, but air purifiers will also help a huge amount with reducing the amount of mites that are calling your home their home as well.

5. You Suffer From A Respiratory Condition

Having a serious chest condition might be a sign that you need an air purifier. Keeping the level of household air pollution down as much as possible is critical, especially with family members who might be exposed to second-hand smoke.

6. You Have A Sick Family Member

Helping a sick family member heal is made easier with the help of a purifier. They can breathe fresher air and have better quality sleep, which will aid recovery.

7. Your Snore (Loudly)

Allergens like pollen and dander will cause your airways to be more congested and that can contribute to snoring. Make sure you change your air filters and use an air purifier. You will find that you will gradually sleep better and snore less.

Our Air Purifiers

The latest news on our two Solenco Air Purifiers, namely the CF8500 and the CF8608, is that they are the first air purifiers to have been awarded the Allergy Foundation of South Africa’s Seal of Approval!

According to AFSA, products that carry this Seal of Approval have shown to be efficient at significantly reducing allergens and chemical content from the environment in accordance with the AFSA Certification Requirements either by verifiable proof of such testing being supplied to AFSA or scientific testing being performed by AFSA and to which the AFSA has lawfully issued a Certificate of Approval. This is a great honour not taken lightly and we are very proud to have achieved this.
Below is a basic summary of the Solenco CF8500 Air Purifiers.

The Solenco CF8500 Air Purifier system offers extremely high air filtration efficiency capturing up to 99.97% of particles including allergens, pollen, dust, smoke and pet dander.

This is done by means of an advanced 5 stage purification system, that includes a Pre-filter (that removes the large airborne particles), a true HEPA filter (that removes particles from the air as small as 0.3 micron - smaller than the eye can see), a Carbon filter (that removes smells and odours), a UV-C Light and PCO (that kills germs, viruses and bacteria).

With its ability to capture and destroy bacteria and viruses, the Solenco CF8500 Air Purifier comes highly recommended to protect public facilities, doctor’s rooms and hospital rooms for patients. It further reduces VOCs, toxic fumes and foul odours.

Unlike many portable air purifiers, the Solenco CF8500 Air Purifier is extremely quiet (less than 30dB on low speed and less than 50dB on high speed) and can treat the air of spaces between 20 to 40m2.

Key features include an innovative tower design, feather touch controls, energy efficiency (only 50watts!), a filter replacement indicator, three speed settings and a timer with three settings.

The big brother of the CF8500 is the Solenco CF8608 Air Purifier. With its innovative Swiss design, the Solenco CF8608 Air Purifier offers high air filtration efficiency capturing airborne particles including allergens, pollen, dust, smoke and pet dander.

This is done by means by a five stage purification system, which includes a Pre-filter, True HEPA filter, Carbon filter, Ionizer, UVC Lamp and PCO. With its ability to capture and destroy bacteria and viruses the Solenco CF8608 Air Purifier results in a 99% reduction in E.Coli, P. Cintrinum and A. Niger.

This unit therefore comes highly recommended for use in public facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, day care centre, hair, nail and beauty salons and the hospitality industry. It further reduces VOCs, toxic fumes and foul odours.

The Solenco CF8608 Air Purifier is extremely quiet (less than 30dB on low speed and less than 60dB on turbo speed) and can treat the air of spaces of up to 50m2.

This air purifier boasts a dust sensor to indicate the indoor air quality and by means of an auto-function further automatically adjusts the fan speed accordingly. Key features include: Feather touch controls, energy efficiency (only 70watts!), remote control for better use, four speed settings and a timer with three settings.
