It is known that tumble dryers can make laundry days a little easier, but these appliances are also electricity monsters! This is why we are really excited about the a new dehumidifier from Meaco that is not only energy efficient, but will give tumble dryers a run for their money!

The Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer (no, there is no typo!) have set a new benchmark in this market sector as it is the real alternative to a tumble dryer and is the first dehumidifier in Europe (and South Africa) to benefit from a DC Motor to reduce its energy consumption.

Chris Michael from Meaco believes that most dehumidifiers will sport these type of motors in about five years’ time – making Meaco dehumidifiers again a brand ahead of its time.

Combining the DC Motor with a high specification compressor means that the harder you work the dehumidifier and the more water it collects – the LESS energy it uses! Meaning if you were to use the Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer in low fan speed, it will actually use more electricity than if you use it in the high fan laundry mode to dry clothes!

“Think of it a bit like riding a bike, you might struggle to get started but once you are up to speed and find the right gear things because easier and you travel further and faster using less energy,” Chris says.

This new model uses less energy for each litre of water than the award winning Meaco 20L Low Energy Dehumidifier and is the third dehumidifier to become part of the Meaco exclusive Platinum Range.

The Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidryer has four special operating modes, including: Humidistat Mode, Laundry Mode, Quiet Mode and Auto Mode.

But if you want a dehumidifier to dry washing then look no further as this is the ‘special one’!
